The first Sunday of Advent
Would you believe we are at that time of the year again? For the Church advent is an exciting season—it speaks of the coming of Jesus into the world. The light that shines and penetrates the darkness is once again declared. And it’s a light that we need more than ever. As scripture reminds us the light comes both to expose the darkness—but also to illuminate our path. Often we lay the emphasis on exposure—the showing of what is wrong in the human heart but the good news is not simply in know what is wrong but in being given light to see what is right and how to walk that path. This the message of advent—this is the light of Christ in us—let us prepare then for the advent of Jesus in our lives
Have a great week.
