Friendship, encouragement and learning
Doing church isn’t just about turning up on a Sunday morning. It’s about being part of a fellowship – about doing life together. This is why we have small groups. They are about making sure everyone has the opportunity to grow and develop. They are about being able to ask questions in a safe environment. They are about friendship, encouragement and learning.
Our small, but perfectly formed, groups meet during the week, usually at someones home or at the Hope Centre. We’re always looking for new ways to do church together and our aim is that everyone who comes along to Hope will be given an opportunity to attend a group where they can get to know people better, learn about Christianity and the Bible and enjoy social activities.
They can be as varied or as structured as needed, and this is very much part of our thinking. For some people small groups will be just the beginning of important and meaningful relationships with others that develop far beyond a weekly get together. The important thing is they offer chance to be part of a community and to feel at home in a natural setting.
Our small groups include:
We run two Tables, meeting on a Wednesday evening either in Clifton or Wollaton. The Table is an informal evening where we have dinner together, enjoy friendship and discuss the world. Click here for more information.
This is like a grownup table, only for our Young Hope members. Its on alternate Wednesdays down at the Hope Centre. Food in the Hope Cafe is provided, followed up with a video which is then discussed.
Meets bi-weekly on a Monday morning down at the Hope Centre.
Meets bi-weekly on Friday morning. The prayer group is an opportunity to get together to pray about current issues and also to meet for fellowship.
We plan to add more small groups as the Church grows and develops. If you have an idea or would like to talk about starting or attending a small group please speak to one of the leaders.
