17th March - by Stephen H

Today has been the first full day since the latest announcement from the Government regarding how we need to act in light of the Coronavirus Pandemic. The measures are wide sweeping and in light of this means that we will be cancelling all Small Groups (including Wednesday Prayer and Youth Table) at Hope along with the Sunday Service with immediate effect. So what does this mean?

To help us move forward as a Church (we are the church and not the building!) I will be communicating with you over the next three days with three separate emails these will cover:

  1. Hope – How to get Connected
  2. Hope – How to be Community
  3. Hope – How to make a Contribution

Each email will cover a different aspect of importance for us all during this season.

For tonight let me make clear that on each Sunday there will be an online gathering at 11.00am where we will be church together. This will then be posted online on our website to be viewed at anytime with a link sent to everyone on our mailing list. We will encourage as many people to join us for the live event from home.

Tomorrow I will write about how we propose to do this and how we can try and support you in the process.

In the meantime take comfort from this prayer that David Shearman shared on the NG Leaders What’s App Group today.

“Let nothing perturb you;
Nothing frighten you;
All things pass
God does not change
Patience is everything”
(St Teresa of Avila)
