Senior Youth and Children’s Pastor

An exciting opportunity exists for the role of Youth and Children’s Pastor at Hope Church Nottingham. Hope is a growing congregation of around 130 adults and 50 children situated in Clifton, Nottingham. We are a progressive and contemporary Church community positioned within the Pentecostal/Charismatic stream.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual capable of working on their own initiative and as part of a team to lead our Children and Youth work. The right person will have relevant experience and or qualifications in youth or children’s work; have a heart for this area of mission, along with the skills to drive forward this exciting aspect of the Hope Vision.

The successful applicant will be a committed Christian and an energetic and gifted communicator who will coordinate, lead and develop this work. The role offers the right person a great opportunity to work with a vibrant Church committed to reaching, engaging and discipling children and young people along with the potential of professional career development within Christian ministry.

Crucially, this post is about building relationships with parents/carers and children/young people – it is not simply a children’s or youth worker we are after, but someone who can network in the community, resource our existing work and help us think strategically about the future. We also hope the successful applicant would be pastorally able to facilitate some of the relational cohesion that will enable families not only to have a positive experience of Hope, but also to settle, stay and be helped in their discipleship and their relationship with God.

This is a full-time post requiring some evening and weekend work. There is an expectation that the person taking on the role will become a member of Hope Church. There is a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the post holder to be a Christian. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS (criminal record) disclosure.
