This week we continued our Autumn series entitled “What is the Bible – An Exhilarating Journey into the Wonder, Mystery and Redemption of the Sacred Book”. Stephen spoke about narrative theology, the power of a good story and how the biblical narrative – the greatest story ever told – can be broken down into five key acts – creation, fall, Israel, Jesus and Church. We now find ourselves in the fifth act of this wonderful story with countless opportunities to share this good news with others.

“We read scripture in order to be refreshed in our memory and understanding of the story within which we ourselves are actors, to be reminded where it has come from and where it is going to, and hence what our own part within it ought to be.”
― N.T. Wright, Scripture and the Authority of God: How to Read the Bible Today
