GRACE

“Grace means there is nothing I can do to make God love me more, and nothing I can do to make God love me less. It means that I, even I who deserve the opposite, am invited to take my place at the table in God’s family.”

Philip Yancey, What's So Amazing About Grace?
Hi there!

Thanks for visiting our website.

At Hope Church Nottingham we’re trying to achieve a few things that we feel passionate and genuinely excited about.

It’s not that we particularly want to be religious or anything like that, but we do want to connect with God, which we believe you can do by having a relationship with Jesus. We do want make a difference with our lives – to live for a purpose and have a life full of meaning. We do want to be passionate about the Bible story of God’s love and commitment to this world. We do want to live in friendship with one another and celebrate and be thankful for the gift of grace that God has given every one of us. All of this stuff matters to us.

We’re trying to build a church that is fun and interesting to be part of, to put an emphasis on the Christian story and how that can change our lives for the better. We want to do all this in a way that makes sense to people who know little or nothing about Christianity. It’s a fun challenge!

So, whether you’re new to faith or simply want to get involved in a Church that’s passionate about its faith, why not pay us a visit – it would be great to see you.

We have lots of information on this site for you to look at, but if you have any questions please do get in touch.

GRACE

“My deepest awareness of myself is that I am deeply loved by Jesus Christ and I have done nothing to earn it or deserve it.”

GRACE

“If the gospel isn't good news for everybody, then it isn't good news for anybody. And this is because the most powerful things happen when the church surrenders its desire to convert people and convince them to join. It is when the church gives itself away in radical acts of service and compassion, expecting nothing in return, that the way of Jesus is most vividly put on display."

Rob Bell
